![]() ![]() ![]() I discovered it about a year and a half ago. Hi guys, I wanted to talk about a program I’ve helped improve over the last six months– RapidComposer by (a Hungarian company). So again, check it out and let me know what you think! Comment below… especially if you’re a MIDI geek! But it’s pretty impressive, what RapidComposer can do… if you take the time with it. They may not be very realistic, as you get the best sounds when RapidComposer is controlling virtual instruments such as Omnisphere, EZKeys, or any realistic Kontakt library (found in Native Instruments’ “KOMPLETE” series). Now, this guy uses RapidComposer, but with realistic virtual instruments from Kontakt and such… the built-in sounds when you download RapidComposer are soundfonts (created by Attila, and myself). He truly has created something amazing that no other software developer has done yet, and with so many features.Ĭheck out some of the videos created by a very helpful member named “Yellukhan”: Six years after RC debuted, its fanbase grew exponentially, and I am really happy for Mr. RC 3.0 was released in spring 2016, and offered a lot more than 2.5. I did all of this for version 2.5, and in exchange, Attila gave me a license for the full version of the software. But I discovered it, and saw its potential, so I emailed Attila, and offered to help him work a lot of the bugs out, and do a tutorial series on it, as well as help him develop phrases and new soundfonts which I created from scratch. When RapidComposer began, it had a very rough start, because it crashed so much. RapidComposer was created by Attila Mezei, a Hungarian software developer. I invite all of you (especially those of you who love MIDI composition) to check out the demo. Now, RC has been updated to version 3.1, with a new user interface, and many more features. I last talked about it a few years ago, as there was a big update to version 2.5. I played a big part in developing and popularizing this cool MIDI-based software, that allows you to quickly do a lot of cool MIDI stuff. Beginners and professionals alike can take advantage of its capabilities, thanks to the user-friendly interface that can be completely customized to cater your every need and allow maximum productivity.I’ve moved to – That is my new home from now on, for this blog and ALL entries, past, present and future. Click the category/link at top of my site () that says “SONGWRITING/RECORDING TIPS”. RapidComposer LE is a powerful tool that enables you to create and edit music using an extensive number of options. You can find them along with more information about their function in the instrument browser and you can assign custom tags to each one. RapidComposer LE offers a wide array of presets to choose from, including MIDI, VSTi and SF2. You can record MIDI Control Change events and customize them using the Exponential, Line, Curve and Freehand utilities, or create entirely new ones from scratch. The rhythm and notes of a phrase can be changed using variations delivered with the application and they can be applied locally or to the whole track. That way, you have total control over your creation and you can include only the highest quality sounds. RapidComposer LE comes with built-in phrase and rhythm generators, including probabilistic rhythm, simple intervals and Schillinger's interference. This allows you to experiment freely with your recordings without the fear of permanently damaging your phrases. The phrases you work with are completely editable and you can resize, move and transpose them without affecting their original quality in the process. The application can display them as a list or by scale degrees and you are free to choose the ones that fit the best into your creation. RapidComposer LE allows you to work with comprehensive chord palettes and assign chord progressions to your lines or verses. Well programmed software should also be on top of your priorities, since everything that you create has to be processed and interpreted by the computer before it heads out on the market. Having the proper equipment can greatly improve the results of your work, especially quality-wise. Music composition requires a lot of highly specialized tools and the right instruments for the job. ![]()
